Katrina and Marley hard at work.

If you’ve ever called I-Source, you’ve most likely heard the upbeat and cheerful voice of Katrina on the other end of the phone. No matter what the situation, she’s Your Girl Friday. She touches every piece of I-Source from ordering supplies, to handling the accounting, to personally being the direct point of contact for the hundreds of individuals doing any form of business with the I-Source Technical Services team.

Katrina hadn’t planned on working in the electronics manufacturing industry.  She grew up in Washington State and moved to California in 2007. She attended Everest College, and was certified in phlebotomy, with which she had originally intended to work in the California corrections agency medical department.

Due to the loss of an employee, she was approached by her mother and step father Dora and David Tuza, the Director of sales & marketing and GM of I-Source technical services, and asked if she could step in to take over I-Source’s administrative duties. After a short time Katrina began taking over more and more responsibilities.  She has grown to be a staple here in the office and is the first voice many people hear when calling—as well as the first face you’ll see when entering our front door. Katrina hopes to expand her working knowledge in operations management and accounting enough to eventually own her own business.

Katrina is engaged to her partner of 4 years Kevin, and plans to wed in August of 2014. When Katrina isn’t making wedding plans, she loves to go to the gym, where she recently auditioned (successfully) to be an instructor. She loves to craft and build things, and she even likes to refurb old furniture.

As a fellow team member of I-Source, I can tell you that without Katrina, the company would cease to function. Every order that comes in is entered into the system and invoiced. It then has to be coordinated between sales, engineering, manufacturing and upper management before entering the production stage—Katrina is the person who oversees all steps. Once an order has been delivered she manages the billing, banking and overall financial well-being of the company. To say she is an asset is an understatement. She is the backbone of I-Source, keeping everyone on track and everything in order, and doing so with a smile.

If you stop in, be sure to look behind her desk for her trusty assistant Marley.
